What are some ways that God might test me?

God’s Response

It was by faith that Abraham obeyed when God called him to leave home and go to another land. . . . He went without knowing where he was going. Hebrews 11:8

Some time later, God tested Abraham’s faith. Genesis 22:1

As he did with Abraham, God may test you by asking you to do something hard without giving you all the information you want. He may ask you to do something that requires extreme faith and obedience. As he did with Joshua, he may ask you to do a difficult task in a very strange way. As he did with Mary and Martha, he may wait before giving you an answer to your prayer. Through any test, God is always teaching you more about his own nature and helping your faith to grow stronger.
