Does God’s presence in my life affect my relationships?

God’s Response

If we are living in the light, as God is in the light, then we have fellowship with each other, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, cleanses us from all sin. 1 John 1:7

Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Romans 12:2

Having a good relationship with God gives you better relationships with others. You have unity, fellowship, and the privilege of prayer with other Christians because of God’s presence in your life. You will have other relationships with non-Christian friends as you practice using the fruit of the Spirit, such as love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, and gentleness. God warns you not to allow any relationship to compromise your faithfulness to him. The closer you get to God, the more he will transform you, and the more you will want to obey him. Then you will love and be loved more by others who love God.

This Is Promising

Two people are better off than one, for they can help each other succeed. If one person falls, the other can reach out and help. But someone who falls alone is in real trouble. Ecclesiastes 4:9-10
