Does He Know?

If I forget to mention something in prayer, does God still know it’s on my mind?

God’s Response

We don’t know what God wants us to pray for. But the Holy Spirit prays for us with groanings that cannot be expressed in words. And the Father who knows all hearts knows what the Spirit is saying, for the Spirit pleads for us believers in harmony with God’s own will. Romans 8:26-27

You know what I am going to say even before I say it, LORD. Psalm 139:4

God knows your thoughts. That can be intimidating—depending on what you are thinking about—or it can be comforting. When you pray, you don’t need to go through your entire list every time. Instead, the Spirit will bring to mind certain needs at certain times that you can bring to God in prayer. That doesn’t mean that other prayer items are being missed, however. God knows what’s on your heart.
