How can I know that God really loves me?

God’s Response

The Son of Man came to seek and save those who are lost. Luke 19:10

I am in them and you are in me. May they experience such perfect unity that the world will know that you sent me and that you love them as much as you love me. John 17:23

This hope will not lead to disappointment. For we know how dearly God loves us, because he has given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with his love. Romans 5:5

How do you know if someone really loves you? We often measure love by the price that a person is willing to pay for the one they love. God pursued you all the way to earth, became human so he could experience life as you do, and died in your place to pay for your sins. You were lost, but Jesus has found you and he won’t let you go. You can find out how dearly God loves you by asking the Holy Spirit, who lives in your heart. The Bible says that the love that fills your heart is evidence of the love God has for you.

We know what real love is because Jesus gave up his life for us. 1 John 3:16
