Can I resolve a conflict I have with someone?

God’s Response

John Mark left them and returned to Jerusalem. Acts 13:13

After some time Paul said to Barnabas, “Let’s go back and visit each city where we previously preached. . . .” Barnabas agreed and wanted to take along John Mark. But Paul disagreed strongly, since John Mark had deserted them in Pamphylia and had not continued with them in their work. Their disagreement was so sharp that they separated. Acts 15:36-39

Bring Mark with you when you come, for he will be helpful to me in my ministry. 2 Timothy 4:11

These verses reveal a conflict met head-on and eventually resolved. God worked in this disagreement to send out two missionary teams instead of one. Later, Mark and Paul resolved their problem and Mark became vital to Paul’s ministry. When you’re in a conflict, do your best to work things out. If you can’t, understand that Christians do not always agree. Problems can be solved by respectfully agreeing to disagree and by letting God work his will.
