How does God expect me to behave?

God’s Response

You received God’s Spirit when he adopted you as his own children. Now we call him, “Abba, Father.” Romans 8:15

Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Romans 12:2

Get rid of all evil behavior. Be done with all deceit, hypocrisy, jealousy, and all unkind speech. 1 Peter 2:1

Actions speak louder than words. Your behavior is eloquent testimony to who you are and what you believe. The Bible calls you to godly living, and if you have been transformed by Jesus Christ, then his Holy Spirit is living within you, helping you want to do what is right. Godly living confirms that you are, in fact, living for God and not just yourself. This barometer of your relationship with him means that you are trying your best to be like Jesus.

For once you were full of darkness, but now you have light from the Lord. So live as people of light! Ephesians 5:8
