Bad Habits

Bad Habits

What are some bad habits that I should avoid?

God’s Response

Pharaoh again became stubborn and refused to let the people go. Exodus 8:32

Soon the people began to complain about their hardship, and the LORD heard everything they said. Then the LORD’s anger blazed against them. Numbers 11:1

They will learn to be lazy and will spend their time gossiping. 1 Timothy 5:13

The habit of intentionally disobeying God’s Word can eventually lead to a hard heart that can no longer be touched by God’s Spirit. When you harden your heart against God, he may eventually let you get locked into your stubborn pride and unbelief. As a believer, it is essential to keep your heart soft so that you can listen to God and obey his words. It is a frightening judgment when God allows a person to remain in their sin. God’s grace alone opens people’s eyes and makes them ready to believe.

This Is Promising

Make sure that your own hearts are not evil and unbelieving, turning you away from the living God. You must warn each other every day, while it is still “today,” so that none of you will be deceived by sin and hardened against God. For if we are faithful to the end, trusting God just as firmly as when we first believed, we will share in all that belongs to Christ. Hebrews 3:12-14
