What are the signs of spiritual strength?

God’s Response

Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego replied, . . . “If we are thrown into the blazing furnace, the God whom we serve is able to save us. He will rescue us from your power. . . . But even if he doesn’t, Your Majesty can be sure that we will never serve your gods.” Daniel 3:16-18

Be strong and courageous! Don’t be afraid of the king of Assyria or his mighty army, for there is a power far greater on our side! He may have a great army, but they are just men. We have the LORD our God to help us and to fight our battles for us! 2 Chronicles 32:7-8

Scripture provides radical examples of spiritual strength through bravery in battle and daring opposition to evil. Other signs of spiritual strength include extreme dependence on God, humility, gentleness, peace, self-control, and a passion for serving others. Ultimately, spiritual strength is a determined, consistent commitment to following God, both publicly and privately, no matter what.
