What does it mean to be a servant leader?

God’s Response

He got up from the table, took off his robe, wrapped a towel around his waist, and poured water into a basin. Then he began to wash the disciples’ feet and to wipe them with the towel he had around him. John 13:4-5

Whoever wants to be a leader among you must be your servant. Matthew 20:26

Jesus revolutionized leadership. In a striking picture of servanthood, Jesus humbled himself by performing the task of a slave, showing how far we are to go in serving others. As a servant leader, you should be willing to perform any task you delegate to others. How can you demonstrate servant leadership today at home, work, church, or with your neighbor?

God’s Challenge

Since I, the Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you ought to wash each other’s feet. I have given you an example to follow. Do as I have done to you. John 13:14-15
