In what ways can my mind be refreshed?

God’s Response

This is the new covenant I will make with the people of Israel on that day, says the Lord: I will put my laws in their minds so they will understand them, and I will write them on their hearts so they will obey them. I will be their God, and they will be my people. Hebrews 8:10

This is my second letter to you, dear friends, and in both of them I have tried to stimulate your wholesome thinking and refresh your memory. I want you to remember and understand what the holy prophets said long ago and what our Lord and Savior commanded through your apostles. 2 Peter 3:1-2

Your mind is refreshed when you read the Bible and allow the words of God to calm you, encourage you, and heal you. Then you are prepared to let the Holy Spirit change the way you think. Let God’s wonderful promises refresh your gratitude as you remember all he has done for you and refresh your hope as you anticipate all that he promises to do for you.

God’s Challenge

Those who are dominated by the sinful nature think about sinful things, but those who are controlled by the Holy Spirit think about things that please the Spirit. Romans 8:5
