How can I praise God when life is difficult?

God’s Response

Joseph told them, “Don’t be afraid of me. Am I God, to judge and punish you? As far as I am concerned, God turned into good what you meant for evil.” Genesis 50:19-20

No matter what happens, always be thankful, for this is God’s will for you who belong to Christ Jesus. 1 Thessalonians 5:18

Life can be difficult for a number of reasons. You may be experiencing the consequences of your own sin, you may be suffering because of someone else’s sin, you may be caught in circumstances that are no one’s fault but are nonetheless unfortunate, God may be testing your faith, or you may be a target for Satan who wants to disrupt your godly influence. In any of these tough circumstances there is reason to praise God. He redeems our mistakes, teaches us wisdom through adversity, promises to help us through tough times, and guarantees eternal life free from suffering for all who are his followers. A God who redeems all trouble is a God worthy of praise.

God’s Promise

He will remove all of their sorrows, and there will be no more death or sorrow or crying or pain. Revelation 21:4
