How can I show my love for God?

If you love me, obey my commandments. John 14:15

When you obey me, you remain in my love. . . . I have told you this so that you will be filled with my joy. Yes, your joy will overflow! John 15:10-11

O people, the LORD has already told you what is good, and this is what he requires: to do what is right, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God. Micah 6:8

If you have children, you know that they usually try to obey because they want to please you, even if they don’t always achieve it. That is what God desires from his children. He knows that because of our sinful nature, we won’t always obey his Word. What he wants is our desire to obey, because that is the sign that we love and respect him, and believe that his way for us is best. If you consistently disobey because you enjoy it, that is not showing love. What can you do today to show God that you love him?
