Faith

I know I’m supposed to have faith in God, but it seems so complicated. How can I ever have faith?

God’s Response

Jesus ignored their comments and said to Jairus, “Don’t be afraid. Just trust me.” Mark 5:36

Jesus prayed this prayer: “O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, thank you for hiding the truth from those who think themselves so wise and clever, and for revealing it to the childlike.” Matthew 11:25

We often make faith in God more complicated than it really is. Faith simply means trusting God to do what he has promised. The problem comes when we get confused over what exactly he has promised. A great use of your time is to study God’s promises in the Bible. Then you will develop a childlike confidence in God as you see all the promises he has fulfilled and anticipate the ones yet to come.

God’s Challenge

You believe because you have seen me. Blessed are those who haven’t seen me and believe anyway. John 20:27-29
