Choices

How do I know if I’m making good or bad choices?

God’s Response

Oh, that you would choose life, that you and your descendants might live! Choose to love the LORD your God and to obey him and commit yourself to him, for he is your life. Deuteronomy 30:19-20

I have hidden your word in my heart, that I might not sin against you. Psalm 119:11

With many counselors, there is safety. Proverbs 11:14

There are three important ways to discern whether your decision is a good or bad one: (1) listen continually to God’s voice in his Word to help you see what is right and what is wrong; (2) seek the counsel of God in prayer and the wise advice of reliable counselors; (3) avoid choices that benefit you at the expense of others. If you follow these guidelines, you will usually know with certainty the quality of your decisions.

God’s Promise

He guides me along right paths, bringing honor to his name. Psalm 23:3
