From our human perspective, the world and our individual lives often seem to be random and unpredictable, but God is ultimately in control. Joseph’s story shows how God used even the seemingly unjust treatment of Joseph by his own brothers to fulfill God’s plan. People’s sinful ways do not ruin God’s sovereign plans. In the end, you will discover that your life is like a tapestry; now you can only see sections of the back, with all its knots and loose ends. Some day you will see the front in its beautiful entirety, the picture of world history and your personal history from God’s perspective.
