Boomerang

What are some of the things we do that come back to haunt us?

God’s Response

Jephthah said to them, “Aren’t you the ones who hated me and drove me from my father’s house? Why do you come to me now when you’re in trouble?” Judges 11:7

Stop criticizing others, or it will all come back on you. If you forgive others, you will be forgiven. Luke 6:37

It has been said, “Be careful how you treat others on your way up, because they are the same people you’ll meet on your way down.” In other words, life has cycles. Sometimes you are on the way up life’s ladder and everything is going your way. You’re at the top of your game. But there will also be times when life doesn’t go your way, and you move down the ladder. You are struggling and need help—to find a job, to get out of financial trouble, to overcome a bad decision. It’s ironic how often the very people you thought you didn’t need at one point in life suddenly become important to you later. Treating all people with the grace, mercy, and kindness that God intends will usually cause you to be treated with that same grace, mercy, and kindness in your hour of need.

God’s Challenge

You will always reap what you sow! Galatians 6:7
