Take A Positive Stand

Caleb tried to quiet the people as they stood before Moses. “Let’s go at once to take the land,” he said. “We can certainly conquer it!” Numbers 13:30

Caleb is my hero. I use his story to boost my spirits when people think I’m “too far out” and my ideas are impossible.

Moses sent Caleb and eleven other men to scout out Canaan, saying, “Tell me what we have to look forward to and what we’ll be up against.”

The place was awesome, with milk, honey, and incredible fruit, but ten of the scouts said, “There is no way we can do this. We should be satisfied with what we have.”

Caleb disagreed. “I’m not saying that it will be easy, but look at this fruit! Come on—we can do this!”

If you’re a Caleb, take heart. God has a special place for you. Caleb was honored for the stand he took.

If you have a Caleb on your team, keep him (or her) healthy. It was Caleb who helped the Israelites move forward.
