Run With Purpose

So I run with purpose in every step. I am not just shadowboxing. 1 Corinthians 9:26

Rick Warren’s book, The Purpose-Driven Life, has sold a zillion copies worldwide because people are intrigued by the idea that their lives are more than a series of interconnected accidents; they want to have purpose, and PDL gives them a good starting place.

You have a mission statement hanging on a wall somewhere in the office. Most people in your organization know you have one, and a few of them can even recite it.

Does it give your employees purpose? Does it answer the question, How will what I am doing today make a difference?

Your mission statement should be short and concise. It should be the filter for your people’s every activity. When they look at their to-do list for each day, they should be able to see how each task fills a purpose.

Paul had a laser-sharp focus on the reason for his existence. He ran everything through the simple filter of his mission.
