Rely On The Holy Spirit
Rely on the Holy Spirit
I want to do what is right, but I can’t. I want to do what is good, but I don’t. I don’t want to do what is wrong, but I do it anyway. Romans 7:18-19
Are you a master of procrastination? Is it impossible for you to relax? Maybe you’re a raging perfectionist, or a person who makes too many mistakes.
Pushy or timid? Ego driven or lacking in confidence?
We all do things we’d rather not do. God tells us, through Paul, that he understands.
Paul had a firm perception of his real strengths and weaknesses. He knew where he was deficient and took steps to mitigate his limitations. He didn’t let his concern take control of his attitude. Instead, he relied on the Holy Spirit to guide his actions. He never gave up trying to do what was good.
God cares deeply about your professional behavior. He wants to help you win the battle over laziness, indecision, egoism, and impatience. He understands your frustration, and he’s ready to step in—whenever you’re ready to make the call.
