We will all be transformed! It will happen in a moment, in the blink of an eye, when the last trumpet is blown. For when the trumpet sounds, those who have died will be raised to live forever. And we who are living will also be transformed. 1 Corinthians 15:51-52

A radio station where I worked featured a nightly program from the golden days of radio. We played dramas, comedies, and old news reports filled with mental images of police shoot-outs, stuff falling out of Fibber McGee’s closet, and the Hindenburg bursting into flames.

The words left unforgettable images on the canvas of my mind.

Paul understood that getting folks to hear what you have to say is just the first step. He reached past their intellect and connected with their emotions by painting pictures on the hearts of his readers.

He didn’t just tell them about the Rapture; he used words that helped them to see it, feel it, and long for its advent.
