Celebrate Your Differences
Celebrate Your Differences
In his grace, God has given us different gifts for doing certain things well. Romans 12:6
Look closely at the three points Paul is making in this passage:
- God has given us different gifts for doing certain things. Each person on your team has unique talents. All are better at some things than others—and that’s okay.
- We are expected to use our respective gifts to the best of our ability. God wants us to do things well.
- The fact that you and I are different proves God’s love for each one of us. He loves us enough to make each of us unique.
As a leader, it’s often easier to shoot for uniformity. Things run more smoothly when everyone agrees and the votes are unanimous, but that’s not what God intended. Our differences are not the result of an error; we are the way we are because God—in his grace—gave us diversity.
Get your team together and list your different opinions and approaches. Then honor God by celebrating your differences.
