Maintain A Consistent Identity
Maintain a Consistent Identity
Jesus said, “No, go home to your family, and tell them everything the Lord has done for you and how merciful he has been.” So the man . . . began to proclaim the great things Jesus had done for him. Mark 5:19-20
The strength of any organization is found in its ability to be in multiple locations.
Make this work by ensuring that everyone is reading from the same playbook. Expanding your influence can quickly become a liability if your message isn’t consistent from one place to another.
Jesus gave specific instructions to the man he healed without putting words in his mouth. He did not attempt to mislead him or spin the story. Jesus gave the man directions that would maintain the consistency of the message in a new place.
As you expand into new markets or send people to remote locations, take time to develop communication guidelines so that everyone on the team knows what to say and how to say it.
E pluribus unum—one out of many.
