Love Mercy, Truth, And Justice
Love Mercy, Truth, and Justice
God will establish one of David’s descendants as king. He will rule with mercy and truth. He will always do what is just and be eager to do what is right. Isaiah 16:5
My clients will occasionally ask me to update their leaders on the state of employee satisfaction. It’s an important exercise, and I applaud companies that don’t take staff morale for granted.
More leaders should be proactive in this area. When a manager tells me that they’re “doing okay in the HR department,” I cringe, because quite often they’re not.
When an employee survey turns up problem areas, a frequent response is to rationalize the issue. Changes are often granted reluctantly, and not before I hear how “some people need to realize they have it pretty good already.”
Isaiah describes Jesus as a ruler who would be eager to do the right thing.
Think about your approach to employee satisfaction. On a sliding scale with indifferent at one end and eager at the other, where are you?
Are you anywhere close to where Jesus would be?
