Let God Transform You

Let God Transform You

Let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Romans 12:2

I change my mind about a lot of things. I have grown accustomed to certain foods I once disliked. I have altered my diet and exercise regimens. I now see value in not wearing Hawaiian shirts to church every week.

But Reggie McNeal’s question—“What has Jesus changed your mind about lately?”—ran deeper than superficial personal preference or habit. He was urging a wholesale upheaval in my attitude regarding things that really matter.

Letting Jesus change my mind was going to mean a complete reversal in how I treated my employees, set prices, and dealt with opportunity. Allowing Jesus to change my mind would mean really loving people, not just tolerating them.

Reggie was right. The Holy Spirit has been haunting me about this, and I’m still not sure I have an answer. Perhaps the process is more important than the destination.

As you make plans for next year, ask Jesus what new ideas he has in mind for you.
