Lend A Hand

Lend a Hand

Abraham was 100 years old when Isaac was born. And Sarah declared, “God has brought me laughter.” Genesis 21:5-6

Sarah wanted nothing more than to give her husband a son, despite the fact that they were both very old. When God granted her the desire of her heart, she was overcome with joy to the point that she exploded in laughter.

The laughter was contagious. It became an epidemic. I can imagine that everyone who knew Sarah started laughing for joy when they heard the news. People knew that God had given Sarah what she had longed for all those years.

How often do you bring joyful laughter to the lives of the people you lead?

As a leader, you can help your people achieve their goals. The first step is to know what’s important in their lives and then to ask them if there is any way you can help. God didn’t just hand Sarah a baby. She did the work, but she acknowledged the role Yahweh played in her success.

Your people aren’t looking for a handout, just a hand up.
