Get People Talking

Get People Talking

The woman was convinced . . . so she took some of the fruit and ate it. Then she gave some to her husband. Genesis 3:6

In his book The Tipping Point, Malcolm Gladwell introduces the concept of Connectors. He describes these people as passing ideas along very effective informal channels of communication.

Planting ideas with key individuals who will share your message with others can start a chain reaction that is more effective than any type of traditional advertising or marketing campaign.

The serpent looked for someone who was open to his message. He planted the seed and waited for the word-of-mouth process to work. The serpent didn’t ask Eve to share the message with anyone. She was convinced, and that was all it took to change the course of history.

People are more likely to believe your story if it comes from an acquaintance, so to spread your idea, get people talking to each other.
