Do Your Part

Do Your Part

If you think you are too important to help someone, you are only fooling yourself. You are not that important. Galatians 6:3

We had an early bird pass to a Disney World theme park and were standing with other guests waiting for a cast member to drop the rope and let us run like crazy to the popular rides.

As we stood in the sweltering morning humidity, a man dressed in a suit and carrying a briefcase scurried across the grounds in an obvious rush to get where he was going.

Suddenly he stopped, walked over to a garden area, bent down, and picked up a piece of paper lodged under a bush. He stuffed the trash in his pocket and continued on his way.

At Disney, it’s everyone’s job to keep the park clean. The guy in the suit was no less obligated to do so than the college intern who had just arrived.

Paul teaches that none of us are too important to do what needs to be done.

Do you have a bit of trash in your pocket?
