Do What You Do Best
Do What You Do Best
God blessed them, saying, “Be fruitful and multiply. Let the fish fill the seas.” Genesis 1:22
Here is another example in which God gave specific instructions regarding a desired outcome. But, unlike other instances in which he provided a detailed, step-by-step manual for proper conduct, he simply told the fish to do what they did best.
God is aware of what fish are capable of doing, and he knows they will fulfill their responsibilities without direct supervision.
Wouldn’t it be great if the people on your team were as dependable as fish?
The secret could lie in your describing your desired final outcome and then stepping back to let them do what they do best. Everyone on your team has a God-given skill.
If you know what your team members were created to do, and you encourage them to be all God wants them to be, you’ll have oceans of “fish” to harvest.
