Be Visible

Be Visible

And the LORD did not remove the pillar of cloud or pillar of fire from its place in front of the people. Exodus 13:22

One of your tasks as a leader is to maintain a sense of security for your people. One way you can do this is to let them see you in the building.

If you’re never in the office, they will start to wonder if you even know what’s going on.

If your door is always closed, they’ll suspect you are hiding from something.

Being out where folks can see you will do wonders for people’s perception that you are actually in charge.

The Hebrews could look up at any time and see the sign of God’s presence. There was no doubt that he was involved in the process of getting them to the Promised Land.

An approach that works for some people is called MBWA—Management by Walking Around. The physical presence of the person in charge can do wonders for motivation and morale.

How would your people rate your involvement in the process?
