Avoid Ambiguity

As surely as God is faithful, my word to you does not waver between “Yes” and “No.” For Jesus Christ, the Son of God, does not waver between “Yes” and “No.” 2 Corinthians 1:18-19

It’s nearly impossible to hear a politician talk about issues these days without sensing ulterior motives. No matter what they say, you wonder what they really mean because their answers are so couched in political jargon.

Paul follows Jesus’ example by not getting caught in the gray area between “Yes” and “No.” As far as Paul is concerned, there’s no wiggle room when it comes to the truth.

If your desire as a leader is to earn and maintain the respect of those who follow you, it’s vitally important that you clearly define your opinions and objectives.

If you feel strongly about something, state your case. If you’re ambivalent, be very clear about the points you’re struggling with.

If you play with all your cards facing out, no one will accuse you of compromising your integrity for the sake of convenience.
