Add Some Exclamation Points!
Add Some Exclamation Points!
Eve . . . became pregnant. When she gave birth to Cain, she said, “With the LORD’s help, I have produced a man!” Genesis 4:1
Notice the exclamation point at the end of the sentence! Eve was excited. She had done something incredible, and she was shouting about it. If television had been around then, the cameras would have been rolling, and Eve would have been booked on Oprah, Today, and CNN. She was ecstatic.
Eve would probably not have been as excited had God crafted a baby boy from a handful of mud and given it to her. He could certainly have done so, but he let Eve experience the joy of doing what she was created to do.
You probably have more experience in your field than most of the people reporting to you, and it’s often tempting to step in and take over a project. Doing so can easily ruin the spirit of the people who work hard to accomplish your objectives.
Look for ways to add exclamation points to the ends of your team’s sentences.
