Acknowledge Those Who Help You

Acknowledge Those Who Help You

The LORD has shown unfailing love and faithfulness to my master, for he has led me straight to my master’s relatives. Genesis 24:27

The next time you watch the Academy Awards on TV, keep a running tab of the winners who actually thank the people who helped them, as opposed to those who hog the spotlight by reciting a long list of names before the music starts and they’re ushered offstage.

I get a kick out of the little guys and first-time winners who are genuinely grateful for the people who have helped them.

As a leader, you are often in a position to accept the help of others. You will reap tremendous benefits if you keep track of their assistance and find a way to thank them in public.

Abraham’s servant was quick to acknowledge God’s help in completing his mission.

When you offer genuine recognition of valuable aid, other people notice and give you points for your honesty and humanity.
