Low Maintenance
Low Maintenance
Read Hebrews 10:19-25
Let us go right into the presence of God, with true hearts fully trusting him. For our evil consciences have been sprinkled with Christ’s blood to make us clean, and our bodies have been washed with pure water. Hebrews 10:22
I’m giving my boys some pointers on spotting low-maintenance women because I know that being married to a low-maintenance woman is a lot less complicated and less stressful.
You also can spot a low-maintenance woman (LM). A LM woman:
- Doesn’t ask for compliments, but she graciously receives them when they are given.
- Believes winning and whining are spelled differently and are never to be used interchangeably.
- Doesn’t try to wear you down; instead she seeks to build you up.
- Follows as well as she leads.
- Is more interested in the team working than the theme working.
- Knows how to use makeup but doesn’t hide behind it.
- Believes personal happiness is a benefit, not a goal or right.
- Accepts men’s input without needing their attention.
- Appreciates her girlfriend’s input but doesn’t need her approval.
- Realizes that a bad hair day, a broken nail, a run in the panty hose, or a change in plans are a natural part of the ebb and flow of life, not the makings of a tragic epic made-for-TV miniseries.a
Would others call you low maintenance? If you are courageous, ask your friends and family how they’d answer that question.
God can help you be low maintenance.
