Taking Wisdom For Granted

Read Proverbs 2

The LORD grants wisdom! From his mouth come knowledge and understanding.

Proverbs 2:6

How can someone become wise? Many people think that wisdom comes only through education or experience. But the truth is that wisdom is also a remarkable gift from God. That’s right—it’s a gift. God does not discriminate in bestowing wisdom on the young and the old, the scholar and the servant. In fact, God takes special joy in giving wisdom to those whom society considers unworthy.

On the other hand, God views the world’s idea of wisdom as foolishness. Since God is the ultimate source of wisdom, those who try to become wise on their own will not succeed.

If you want wisdom, first seek the creator of wisdom. The Lord grants wisdom because he wants you to be confident of the hope that is within you. So continue to question and search out the answers! He waits patiently to offer you the meat of his Word. If you seek him, he will pour out understanding.

God created wisdom.

Lord, give me an understanding of who you are so that I may confidently stand for you.
