The Greatness Of Our Creator
The Greatness of Our Creator
Let all that I am praise the LORD.
O LORD my God, how great you are!
You are robed with honor and majesty.
You are dressed in a robe of light.
You stretch out the starry curtain of the heavens;
you lay out the rafters of your home in the rain clouds.
You make the clouds your chariot;
you ride upon the wings of the wind.
The winds are your messengers;
flames of fire are your servants.
Psalm 104:1-4
Too often as we rush from task to task we don’t take time to reflect on the greatness of God. But every once in a while we are startled by the greatness of God’s world—a sudden clap of thunder or the beauty of a field of multicolored wildflowers—and we are reminded again of how glorious the God who made it must be. In a similar way, the writer of this psalm took cues from the wonders in nature to magnify and exult God.
Praise God for his power and wisdom by listing the ways you have witnessed his work in what he has created.
- O Lord my God, how great you are! . . .
