Praying For Opportunities To Share Christ

Pray for us, too, that God will give us many opportunities to speak about his mysterious plan concerning Christ. That is why I am here in chains. Pray that I will proclaim this message as clearly as I should.

Colossians 4:3-4

If telling your acquaintances about Christ sometimes seems a daunting task, remind yourself that the apostle Paul found it challenging as well. That is why Paul asked the Christians at Colosse to pray that he would have opportunities to preach the gospel and that he would proclaim the message as clearly as he should. Whether he felt he was lacking in courage or skill or something else, he knew he needed God’s Spirit to work through him; and he knew that God would honor the prayers of other believers.

Today, pray for your unbelieving friends and acquaintances. Pray that you may have the opportunity to share with them succinctly and clearly the message that Christ died for their sins.
