Praise For God’s Blessings

Praise for God’s Blessings

Let all that I am praise the LORD;

with my whole heart, I will praise his holy name.

Let all that I am praise the LORD;

may I never forget the good things he does for me.

He forgives all my sins

and heals all my diseases.

He redeems me from death

and crowns me with love and tender mercies.

He fills my life with good things.

My youth is renewed like the eagle’s!

Psalm 103:1-5

Almost every firm with a sizable workforce gives a benefits package to its workers, and these benefits usually include health care, life, and disability insurance. In this prayer, David listed God’s “benefits package,” so to speak. First of all, David’s very life and health came directly from God’s hand. And God filled David’s life with many good things. But David recognized that the key benefit God gave to him was forgiveness—God’s grace, which broke down the barrier of sin between God and him. David freely acknowledged that his life was thoroughly dependent on the merciful life-giver.

During your prayer time, list the many benefits God has given you. Then, refer to that list throughout the day and praise the Lord.

  • Dear Lord, I praise you for all your blessings toward me . . .
