Nothing Is Too Hard For God

O Sovereign LORD! You made the heavens and earth by your strong hand and powerful arm. Nothing is too hard for you! You show unfailing love to thousands, but you also bring the consequences of one generation’s sin upon the next. You are the great and powerful God, the LORD of Heaven’s Armies. You have all wisdom and do great and mighty miracles. You see the conduct of all people, and you give them what they deserve.

Jeremiah 32:17-19

In a time when most people were investing in liquid valuables—gold and cash—in anticipation of coming devastation—Jeremiah was instructed by God to buy some land. He did this to show that although God’s people would be sent into exile, their return to the land was guaranteed by God. Having put his money on the line, Jeremiah reflected on God’s faithfulness to his people. He voiced a thought we need to remember when we face difficult times—“Nothing is too hard for you!”

When we’ve thought through all the possibilities and think our situation is hopeless, we make a huge mistake if we discount God’s power. Though your present circumstances may be challenging your trust in God, place your hope in God. He has all wisdom and does great and mighty miracles.
