Moses’ Prayer For Israel
Moses’ Prayer for Israel
Indeed, he loves his people;
all his holy ones are in his hands.
They follow in his steps
and accept his teaching.
Deuteronomy 33:3
Just before his death, Moses gathered the people of Israel together and gave a specific blessing for each one of the tribes. But the grand theme of all his prayers appears in his introduction. He thanked God that he “loves his people,” and in turn, that Israel accepts God’s instructions and follows in the Lord’s steps. Moses’ prayer teaches us also. The Lord does love his people and holds us safely in his hands. It is our responsibility to accept his teaching and follow in his steps.
Thank God for loving you and holding you in his hands. Ask him for strength to follow in his steps.
- Dear Lord, thank you for holding me safe in your hands. Help me to follow in your steps and accept your teaching . . .
