Honor To The Coming King Of All Kings

At just the right time Christ will be revealed from heaven by the blessed and only almighty God, the King of all kings and Lord of all lords. He alone can never die, and he lives in light so brilliant that no human can approach him. No human eye has ever seen him, nor ever will. All honor and power to him forever! Amen.

1 Timothy 6:15-16

“Is it Christmas yet?” The anticipation in children’s voices around Christmas reminds us of that “I-can-hardly-wait-until-it-gets-here” feeling. Waiting for Christmas should remind us that we who trust in Christ are also waiting for Jesus’ return in glory. Just as the ancient Israelites were waiting for the birth of the coming Messiah, we are waiting for Christ’s return. Only God knows the date. Only he will decide the right time. Yet one day, he will return in glory.

In the meantime, we should be as excited as children who are awaiting Christmas with just four days to go. We may not know the date when Jesus will return, but we know the day is coming! We have the right attitude when we ask the Lord with excitement, “Is it Christ’s time yet?”
