Asking God To Make His Way Plain
Asking God to Make His Way Plain
Because of your unfailing love, I can enter your house;
I will worship at your Temple with deepest awe.
Lead me in the right path, O LORD,
or my enemies will conquer me.
Make your way plain for me to follow.
Psalm 5:7-8
David wrote these words amid controversy and confusion. His enemies often tried to harass him with evil rumors and outright lies, as the rest of this psalm indicates. In those difficult and unsettling times, David immediately turned to God for direction. Surrounded by lies, David desired truth. Confronted with choices, David sought to choose the one right path.
Express your desire for God to guide you—especially during those times when life has offered you a confusing array of choices. Ask God to dispel your confusion by helping you find “the right path.”
- Dear Lord, make your way plain for me to follow . . .
