For His Glory (part 2)

FOR HIS GLORY (PART 2)

Read Psalm 148:1-13.

As Mike and Steve ate breakfast the morning after their campout, they told Mike’s mother that they had talked about the huge universe. “It made me feel small,” said Mike.

Mom said, “God is interested in small things too. Mike, have you shown Steve the microscope you got for your birthday?”

“Yeah, he did. It’s neat!” exclaimed Steve.

“I’ve got something on a slide you haven’t seen,” said Mike. The boys hurried off.

As Steve looked through the lens, he saw what appeared to be a giant, horned monster. “Yuck!” he exclaimed. “What’s that thing?”

“It’s just a flea from my dog!” Mike said, laughing.

Steve took another look. Then he said, “Let’s find some other things to look at.” Soon the boys had examined an ant, a leaf, a worm, and part of a flower.

Then the boys looked at a drop of water from a puddle. They were amazed at all the tiny things swimming in it. “I can’t believe it,” said Steve. “There must be billions of these things all over the world, and we never even see them.”

“Even though no one sees these little creatures, each one of them was created by God.” Mom’s voice came from the doorway.

“I’m glad He’s interested in little things as well as in big things,” said Mike. “That means He’s interested in us, too.”
