What Does It Look Like?

FATHER GOD, I desire to pass on your truths. I ask that you bless me to be a woman who

is an example to others of an honorable life;

makes good decisions, one decision at a time;

learns to use appropriate shame to instill a sense of family pride;

delivers selfless devotion under the cover of night;

chooses her words wisely in order to model genuine respect;

embraces each life stage with enthusiasm;

engages in life alongside others—regardless of our differences;

remembers that you have considerately included us within your creation;

extends patience and inclusion to those who might move at a slower pace;

establishes a sense of belonging for my friends and family;

appreciates the material things in life, the way poor people do;

is mindful of the people and things that bring us the real joy;

remembers that my talents are gifts from you;

is a blessing to my girlfriends;

glorifies you in the way I treat my husband;

lives in the joy of here and now.

Actions I will take:

Example: When disciplining the children, I will carefully teach and tactfully balance the concepts of shame and family pride.

Father, each and every blessing is sent from you above. Thank you for your goodness and love. Thank you for helping me to be the woman you desire me to be—a woman who is a blessing to future generations. Amen.
