Sticks And Stones
Sticks and Stones
FATHER GOD, you have spoken to me and I have learned that I need to
confront others and share my position respectfully, truthfully, and kindly;
share words of encouragement or appreciation more often;
be sensitive to those who may be struggling to have or have chosen not to have children;
say I love you to _______________;
remember that even when I’m not fond of someone, I don’t have an excuse to be unkind;
make sure my last word to someone is always kind.
Actions I will take:
Example: I will spend more time thinking how I might confront _______________ in a loving, truthful way that protects her dignity and also my own.
Heavenly Father, I know that my words can serve as a cup of water to those who are hurting or can cut as sharply as a knife when used inconsiderately. Give me discernment and bless me with kindness so that every word I say might be a blessing to you and to others. Amen.
