Moving through the Fog

FATHER GOD, I am operating in a fog and I know that

you will give me the strength to move through it;

I need to put my regret in the closet;

I have allowed my past mistakes to define my future;

I am repeating past mistakes and must analyze the “why” behind my destructive behavior;

I need to mourn ____________________________________________;

it’s time to shave my legs and paint my toenails;

I need patience with my girlfriend as I sit shotgun while she drives through her fog.

Actions I will take:

Example: I will decide today to no longer allow my mistake of yesterday to define my tomorrow.

Kind Father, I thank you not only for your forgiveness but for your forgetfulness for my mistakes and sins. Guide me as I heal from my past in order to fully enjoy every day on earth and every minute in your presence. Give me a tender heart and a patient spirit to minister to my girlfriends as they deal with their life blows and tragedies. Amen.
