Your own ears will hear him. Right behind you a voice will say, “This is the way you should go,” whether to the right or to the left.

GPS HAS REVOLUTIONIZED how people navigate. How handy it can be to have a voice and screen revealing exactly where to turn and how to easily get to your destinations. No pulling over and messing with maps! What a traveler’s dream! It’s amazing that a receiver in a car can somehow communicate with a satellite floating in space and that this can be translated into an interactive map that even gives verbal directions.

Of course, to use a GPS, we have to have the receiver activated and the machine turned on. And then, to get to our destination, we have to actually listen to that voice giving directions and follow them.

Today’s Scripture verse tells us that we have a spiritual GPS—a God Positioning System. As we go through life, we don’t have to wonder about which direction is the right way to go. When our spiritual receivers are connected and our prayer ears are turned on and we’re listening for God’s voice, we’ll hear it.

Aren’t you glad we don’t have to travel alone!
