God’s Love Is New Every Morning - Prayers for Peace of Mind

“Because of the LORD’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.” (Lamentations 3:22–23, NIV)

Whenever we make it through a stressful moment in life, isn’t that like a new morning full of God’s mercy? He is the light coming to us in the places we can’t find peace, in the messes, the mistakes, and the grief.

We experience mourning, yes, but we are ultimately people of the morning. Even when the story ends in tragedy, it is only for this life. We have a forever morning coming.

No matter how hard this world gets, we keep finding our way through the dark. We keep moving toward the light. We keep believing that what looks like an ending could really be a beginning.

A new morning is always coming. The sun will rise again, and so will we.

Prayer:

God, you have seen everything that has ever happened on this earth. You know how dark the night can get. Yet you bring light again every day to this world, to my life. Thank you for the gift of new starts and unending hope. No matter what comes, the morning will too. Amen.
