Wisdom
Wisdom
LOVING FATHER, not only do you possess wisdom; you are Wisdom. Not a day goes by without my needing and wanting your direction. Sometimes I speak too quickly or my attitude is selfish. Or I attempt to solve someone else’s problems.
When I realize what I’m doing, God, a gracious first step toward change, may I stop and seek your insight. My failures are opportunities to ask you for your help—again. Thank you that you are always available and that no problem is too difficult for you. Because you see my past, my present, and my future, your viewpoint is all-encompassing. I’m grateful that your supply of wisdom is endless and your solutions are abundant.
You tell us that all wisdom’s ways are satisfying and that we’re happiest when we hold on to wisdom tightly. I cling to you, Father, thanking you for offering me knowledge with great joy!
If you need wisdom, ask our generous God, and he will give it to you. He will not rebuke you for asking.
