LOVING FATHER, it’s Valentine’s Day, a special time for reaching out to people we love. Whatever way we choose to celebrate the day—with dinner, chocolate, flowers, cards—we’re mindful that you are the Author, Architect, and Creator of love. More than that, you are love! We cannot begin to express what that means to us. The symbol of this day is a heart, and we offer you these words from our hearts each day.

Thank you for loving us first. You loved us before you were even a thought in our minds, before we realized who you are. You love us even when we are sinful and want to hide from you. It’s no wonder your love is described as unfailing. Your love is the source of all human love, Father.
