Marriage In Crisis

Marriage in Crisis

MY SAVIOR, MY ROCK, I’m praying for a friend who’s facing great turmoil in her marriage. Her husband has had repeated issues with destructive behaviors, and after much help from counselors and pastors, my friend has informed her husband she will no longer tolerate his addictions—his slavery to sin.

Father, this is a crucial time for this wife and her husband, and for their children. No doubt my friend is wondering how she can possibly have a healthy and loving marriage after what’s been happening, and her husband might be wondering how he can possibly break free of his bondage to sin for the long haul.

I’ve seen people transformed, God. I know you can do exceedingly abundantly above all we ask or think. I also realize no one can be forced to turn to you for help. Give this husband resolve to take radical measures to move toward you and away from his addictions. Give this wife fortitude and wisdom for the challenges and decisions of each day. Help them both to see and deal with their contributions to this conflict. Please protect and bless their children, Father, in ways that you alone can. Please give each of them the help they need. I pray this in the victorious name of Jesus, amen.
